Video - Rapsody - Asteroids
Following the debut of her single "Asteroids" earlier in the week, Rapsody drops the music video for the Hit-Boy collaboration.
Directed by Patrick Lincoln, the video features the Raleigh MC showcasing her lyrical prowess in a warehouse while taking charge of the mic and overseeing security cameras.
“First name Marlanna, last name Evans / Underappreciated, but I’m still the most respected,” she declares, demanding recognition in front of a wall adorned with photos of legends. “My insecurity is the fear of being rejected / When you this raw they listen with an erection / Niggas pull the Drake before they rap about affection / There I go, hard to rap without a message,” she continues before leaving the breached premises.
"Asteroids" is Rapsody’s first official single since her 2019 album, Eve. Since then, she’s released new music including “12 Problems“, “Iconic“, “Dust To Diamonds,” and collaborations with Robin Thicke and DJ Premier, among others. Earlier this year, she collaborated with KIRBY on "Eve Gene."
